Telangana bags 2 in Employment guarantee scheme :Jupally

Hyderabad, July 2: Telangana government is working on a new scheme. Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao yesterday has said that soon the government will issue work orders worth Rs 3,000 crore in the current year under the Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.

The Minister has said the above words when he spoke at an event of Employment Guarantee Council at Sipard in Rajendranagar. The meeting was attended by T Harish Rao Irrigation Minister, Nayani Narsimha Reddy Home Minister, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy Agriculture Minister and many other officials.

Minister has said that Telangana state has bagged 2nd rank at the national level for implementing the employment guarantee scheme in districts. He has also said that the state Government has issued work contracts of Rs 1,106 crore in the last three months of the 2017-19 financial year.

Finally, he said that for the first time we have utilized funds judiciously and we hope that more contracts would be issued in coming months.
