Man held for peddling ganja

Mancherial, July 02: The police officials have been arrested a man for allegedly peddling ganja and seized 3.5 kg of contraband from him.

According to the Inspector D Sudhakar Information, the accused Angothu Ramulu is a native of Mahabubabad district. Ramulu was apprehended when he was moving suspiciously at Mancherial railway station.

During interrogation, the peddler confessed to have been selling the contraband to some persons of the town, who in turn sell it to students and youth.

He revealed that he had purchased the material in Mahabubabad. He was sent to a judicial remand after being booked under Narcotic Drugs Psychotropic Substances Act.

Sudhakar suggested students and youth not to get addicted to ganja as it was injurious to health and they would be booked. He advised parents to keep watch on children and their activities
