Boyfriend booked under a rape case

Hyderabad, July 01: The Police officials have been booked a case against 27-year-old man raping 23-year-old woman here Friday.

According to the police officials, The SR Nagar police on Friday booked a case of rape and criminal intimidation against G Krishna (27), a native of Singarayakonda, Ongole based on a complaint lodged by a 23-year-old woman, a native of Nellore and reportedly his girlfriend.

According to the police officials information, Krishna and the victim were friends for a long time and reportedly had an affair. Last month, as the victim’s father was unwell, Krishna had gone to her home in Nellore to help her.

Both then planned to travel together from Nellore to Hyderabad in a private bus. Krishna, who had told her that he booked normal seats in an RTC bus, however, had booked sleeper class tickets in a private bus. They were together in adjoining seats on the bus on June 1.

Police quoted the woman’s complaint stating that Krishna sexually assaulted her in the moving bus during the night journey. After reaching Hyderabad, he took her to a lodge and raped her again, Mohammed Waheeduddin, Inspector SR Nagar, said, adding that Krishna had allegedly threatened her and raped her on multiple occasions apart from taking her ornaments as well.

Based on her complaint on Friday, the case was booked and is being investigated.
