Andhra Pradesh: Chittoor, July 1: The Chittoor District Coordinator of Hospital Services (DCHS) Dr. P Saralamma announced on Friday, The AP govt has issued strict instructions, states that the Aadhaar enabled biometric attendance would be introduced in all the Andhra Pradesh Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (APVVP) in the district.

She said that all the medical officers, administrative staff, nursing and paramedical staff should mark their attendance in a biometric system.

She stated that District Collector PS Pradyumna gave instructions to all the medical officers to follow Aadhaar based biometric attendance from July 1.

Thus, About the shortage of medical officers in APVVP hospitals in the district, the DCH admitted that 15 specialty doctors should be filled in various hospitals and a report was sent to the government seeking approval.

She said the number of out-patients visiting the district headquarters hospital has crossed 1,800 per day which is a record in the history of the hospital.

"A dialysis center and a trauma care unit would be set up soon at Government General Hospital in Chittoor," she added.

Dr.Saralamma stated that renovation works have been taken up at a cost of Rs 1.4 crore and 50 more beds were sanctioned to 100-bedded Kuppam Area Hospital under mother and child care system.
