AP Advocates boycotted from Courts

Andhra Pradesh Srikakulam, June 30: The Andhra Pradesh Advocates have boycotted courts at several places including Srikakulam, Sompeta, Amadalavalasa, Tekkali, and Vizianagaram demanding that the government take up welfare measures for the lawyers in the State.

They said the government should enhance the compensation of Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh on the death of an advocate.

They also demanded payment for the advocates who attained 60 years of age.

Srikakulam BAR Association representatives A. Satyanarayana, K. Rambabu, Jallu Tirupati Rao and others demanded issuance of health cards for lawyers.

Senior advocate of Sompeta M Venkata Rao said many lawyers were facing financial difficulties during their old age and wanted the government to create a Rs. 100 crore fund for them.
