AP Govt to setup 12000 telecom towers

Andhra Pradesh: Amaravati, June 26: The Andhra Pradesh Towers Limited recognizes government places for setting up telecom towers in 12,000 locations in the state.

The government has decided to build bigger towers to improve telecom services in the state and avoid connectivity issues. These include AP Towers Ltd (APTL)was established.

APTL has prepared a comprehensive Project Report (DPR), which states that the suitable places for the creation of towers near government buildings and places in the state.

According to this, It is only compatible with the construction of 12,000 locations. These towers were decided to be set up in partnership with private companies.

Two companies have been selected for the joint venture and the Bangalore-based 'pace' technologies.

The Construction of the towers will be set up when the govt approves the task of handing over the tasks to the pace technologies.

There are about 16,000 towers of BSNL and others currently owned by private telecom companies in the state.The 74% of the floor and the rest were built on the buildings. The Govt estimates that there will be unprecedented demand for the towers as the use of 4G services is currently on the rise.

The government hopes that telecom firms will use them for better access to the towers if they do not have a shortage of towers.
