Seed legislation newly to prevent fake and inferior seeds

Hyderabad, June 26: The state government has made a crucial decision to prepare the draft Telangana state seed legislation and decided to send it to the Central Agriculture Department. The state agriculture department has suggested that it be introduced in the Legislative Assembly only after approval.

The TS government is bringing new seed legislation to prevent fake and inferior seeds. Farmers' compensation and the fraudulent action against the fraud have been hampered by the earlier draft.

The TRS government has advised agriculture and law enforcement to make it back with strong rules. The Seed Act drafted the manufacturing process as there was no full official officer as the Secretary of Justice. The state agriculture department is planning to complete it soon and send it to the center.

The draft of the new Seed Act on the national level was prepared five years ago. The Union Agriculture Ministry is trying to get it soon in Parliament. It is questionable whether it will permit seed laws in the state. Farmer unions have alleged that the revised National Seed Act has not come to Parliament for five years since the lobbying of the seed companies across the country.

They have welcomed the actions of the Telangana government to bring their own seed legislation in this manner. But the sources in the official sources have questioned whether the state government will take a new step in the courts before the National Seed Act has been brought to the fore.

After the passage of the Act, it was decided to allow all matters in the draft to be forwarded to the Central Agriculture Department prior to the failure of the courts. Farmers are betrayed by big seed companies and traders selling nasty and fake seeds as there is no proper law.

In the season, 900 nuts of nitrogen seeds were already caught in the attack. According to National Seed Act of 1964, those who are selling inferior seeds do not have too much punishment and no compensation for the lost farmers.
