AIR to launch a new FM station in Dehradun

New Delhi, June 25: A good news for FM listeners. All India Radio (AIR) will soon launch an FM station in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. The studio built will be a state-of-the-art kind.

Sources say that Union Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu will launch the radio station in a few days. Government officials say that the radio station will have a 10-KW FM transmitter and this will help in offering good sound quality to listeners.

The station will develop programs which will help in preserving the culture and Tradition. Sources also say that with the launch of the new channel the total number of stations would rise to 24.

Finally, the listeners are happy because they will get a new station in the state capital and hilly region.
