Preparations started for upcoming presidential election

New Delhi, June 24: Preparations have been started with loud noise by the Uttar Pradesh Assembly for the upcoming presidential election to be held on July 17.

A senior official of the Assembly said that all necessary preparations are being made before the presidential election and necessary steps are being taken.

For this, there is ongoing discussions between the assembly and the election officials and meetings are being held. There was a meeting yesterday for preparations between the Election Commission and the Assembly officials in which wide discussions were discussed and the outline of elections was made.

Meanwhile, according to sources associated with Bharatiya Janata Party, NDA President Ramnath Kovind's candidate is coming to the capital Lucknow and he will demand support from the members of both the houses here.

Sources said that Kovind's last event has not come yet. He will also meet with the BJP MPs, legislators besides the leaders of the allies and other political parties. They have a program to go to Uttarakhand from here. It is worth mentioning that Kovind is a resident of Kanpur village in Uttar Pradesh.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has already said that it is a matter of great pride for Uttar Pradesh that one of his sons is going to sit on the highest posts in the country.
