YSRCP MLA arrested in Ananthapur

Andhra Pradesh: Ananthapur, June 24: The Andhra Pradesh Opposition party YSRCP leaders have been arrested by the police here on Friday.

In-depth into the matter, The YSRCP MLA Vishweshwar Reddy, MLC Vennapoosa Gopal Reddy from Uvarakonda, were arrested, who was concerned for irrigation water here on Friday.

The Both leaders have raised concern at the RWS Office, demanding immediate launch of the Uravakonda irrigation scheme. They have been continued the protest until the government and the authorities were prepared to compromise.

The Police have blocked the YSRCP activists.This led to a clash between the two sides. The RWS office premises resounded by the slogans shouted by the protesters against the government and police.

Police have arrested some activists including leaders of YSR Congress Party.
