She Team arrested Karnataka native

Hyderabad, June 24: We knew that The She team has been expansionary doing well against the harassment of the women in Hyderabad and yet another case they arrested a Karnataka native for allegedly harassing his schoolmate.

The suspect was identified as H Santhosh, 27, a farmer, resident of Bidar in Karnataka. According to the She Teams officials, the victim in her complaint stated that Santhosh had been harassing and blackmailing her through calls and messages.

Both were schoolmates and taking advantage, he pressurized her to marry him. She had undergone an ear surgery recently and despite her requests not to call her, he kept on calling her, officials said.

"He verbally abused her and also started calling her mother when the former blocked him. He verbally abused her mother as well. Unable to bear the torture, she approached us," police said.

"He tried to escape arrest at the hospital by complaining of chest pain and other ailments. All tests were conducted on his complaints. He was later produced in court and was brought to the city on a transit warrant," police said.

He was sent to Chanchalguda Prison under judicial remand.
