Devineni Uma launched a Mobile App Tele Thrombolysis

Vijayawada, June 23: The Andhra Pradesh Minister for Water Resources Devineni Umamaheswara Rao has launched a mobile phone app for making emergency calls and 'Tele Thrombolysis' at the Ramesh Group of Hospitals Stroke Unit at Labbipet here on Thursday.

The Minister who took a keen interest in the "Ramesh Call Emergency" app asked how Tele Thrombolysis would save lives.

Ramesh Hospitals managing director P. Ramesh Babu said that of the 98 lakh deaths the occur every year in India 24 Lakh was caused by heart attack and brain stroke.

Fifty percent of these deaths could be averted by administering injects that would prevent the blood clot from growing and causing death.

He said from the earlier Golden Hour healthcare experts were now insisting on the Golden Half Hour and Platinum Ten Minutes.

Tele Thrombolysis addressed two important reasons for deaths, non-availability of specialists and delay in treatment, he said.

Tele Thrombolysis will save 50 percent of the lives and give specialists an additional 12 hours for giving best treatment" he said.
