AP Minister Ayyana Patrudu challenged Opposition Parties

Vishakapatnam, June 22: The Andhra PradeshMinister for Roads and Buildings Ch Ayyanna Patrudu has challenged the opposition parties to prove the alleged involvement of TDP leader in the land scams in Vishakapatnam.

He said the TDP government was ready to take action against its own party leaders if found guilty.

Accusing the opposition of trying to disrupt investigations, he said the opposition parties did not want the facts of the land scams to be revealed through Special Investigation Team (SIT).

Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, the minister said the TDP government wanted an inquiry and therefore willingly set up the SIT.

"If the opposition parties YSRCP, Congress, CPI, and CPM have skills, they should prove the involvement of TDP leaders by providing the names and the survey numbers of the lands that were defrauded. Why is Jagan Reddy staging a dharna on Thursday? Had we not initiated an inquiry over the lands or if the inquiry was partial, they should have gone for a dharna demanding justice.

But even before the inquiry, they are planning for a dharna. This means they have no interest in the SIT inquiry, which consists of sincere officers," he accused.

He said the inquiry would start in a day or two either at the collectorate or police commissionerate. He urged the victims of the land scams to attend the inquiry with necessary documents.
