Auto-rickshaw driver held for assaulting minor girl

Gurugram, June 20: A 20-year-old autorickshaw driver has been arrested on the charge of raping a 7-year-old girl in a village on the Delhi-Gurugram border, police said on Tuesday.

Police said Kamal of Dundahera village, situated on the old Delhi road, lured away from the minor and committed the crime at a deserted place on Sunday.

The Police scanned the CCTV footage of the area from where she was abducted and identified the Driver.

Police had formed 20 teams to crack the case and finally zeroed in on Kamal after a cousin of the victim said she saw him lure her away, a senior police officer told the media here.

The victim has been admitted to a hospital.
