Police Seized bio products, worth Rs.5 lakh

Telangana, Mahabubabad, June 20: The police officials have seized Rs 5 lakh worth bio-products being sold illegally here on Monday.

And they also booked cases against three persons on Monday.

According to the Superintendent of Police N Koti Reddy, a team comprising the District Crime Record Bureau Inspector Santhosh, Special Branch Inspector Srinivas Raju and Task Force Sub-Inspector Rana Pratap was formed to check the sale of illegal bio-products.

The police officers has seized the products being sold by Venkatasri Agro Agency located at Kuravi bridge area in the town. The bio-products seized at the shop were said to be lacking bills and invoice.

An employee, called as Ravi Kumar was taken into custody and booked under IPC section 420. Similarly, cases were booked against two others Madela Venkateshwarlu of Mahabubabad and Rayapati Ramchander Reddy of Guntur for their alleged involvement in the illegal sale of bio-products.

"Those involved in the sale of illegal agriculture products would not be spared. If required they would be booked under PD Act," cautioned the SP Koti Reddy.

The seized bio products were sent to a lab for testing, he added.
