40 yrs old man committed suicide

Andhra Pradesh: Krishna, June 19: Here a 40 yrs old man was allegedly committed suicide by hanging at his residence in Vissannapeta in the Krishna district here on Sunday.

While coming to details, The deceased identified as D.Vasu(40) was committed suicide, while his family members alleged that Vasu committed suicide due to police torture.

The Reddygudem police reportedly picked up Vasu on Saturday in a case relating to theft of antique idols and tortured him.

They had asked him to come to the police station again on Sunday.

Fearing police action, he committed suicide, said Vasu's brother-in-law Ramesh.

The police registered a case and took up the investigation.
