YSRCP to stage a Mahadharna in Vizag

Vishakapatnam, June 18: The YSR Congress Party will stage a Mahadharna against land scam issue over govt, which was announced here on Saturday.

The Party also demanding protection of government and private lands in the district, in front of the Collectorate here on June 22.

Announcing this here on Saturday, YSRCP district president Gudivada Amarnath said that the party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy would participate in the dharna and other political parties were also being invited to the program.

Already, Lok Satta Party had confirmed its participation in the program aimed at saving the lands from the clutches of land grabbers, he said.



"The Collector himself announced that land records pertaining to about 250 villages were missing after the Hudhud cyclone. In fact, as much as one lakh acres worth Rs 3 lakh crore is involved in the scam spread all over the district.

Even while all this is happening, the Revenue Minister has failed to visit even once to the district," he pointed out.

Amarnath said that the government lands, private and endowment lands were grabbed by land sharks and it was the duty of everyone to protect them, and towards this, the Mahadharna was being organized.
