Police arrests one for cheating a film actress.

Hyderabad June 16: The police officials on Thursday arrested a person on charges of cheating a film actress.

According to the sources, the complainant Kumari Kommineni Krishnaveni (26), a resident of Gayathri Hills and native of Khammam, had come in contact with the suspect Srinivas who promised to get her roles in Tollywood movies.

Srinivas had introduced himself as the assistant director of a prominent Telugu filmmaker.

The two were moving together and Srinivas had allegedly borrowed money from her. She approached the police after he did not get her the promised roles and also refused to return the money. He also abused her, she stated in her complaint.

Police have registered a case under sections pertaining to cheating and produced the suspect before court, after which he was remanded in judicial custody.
