Transport officials Seized illegal tourist buses

Hyderabad June 15: Transport department officials seized 15 buses plying illegally in the State (with registration in other states) here on Wednesday.

Minister P Mahender Reddy said We seized 15 buses with registration in other states.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Minister said that the drive to seize the tourist buses, which violate the MV Act rules, would continue.

The government would not spare the culprits even if they are from Telangana and criminal cases would be booked against them, said the minister.

He said that the department personnel who are supporting these illegal activities and also the private operators would also be held responsible.

If the department gets any complaint against the personnel for supporting the contract carriage owners, severe action would be taken against them, said the minister. Enough buses would be made available for the tourists in the State by TSRTC, he added.
