IRCTC launches mVisa payment

New Delhi, June 14: A good news for Indian Railway passengers. Rail travelers can now book tickets online with the help of mVisa payment method. This new payment option will allow the travelers to scan a quick response (QR) code and pay through their smartphones.

Railway officials say that users can also link their Visa debit, credit or prepaid account to the mVisa application on their smartphones. Customers can book their tickets by simply scanning mVisa QR code on the IRCTC website.

Indian Railways is also offering a promotion offer until September 4. Users will get Rs 50 as cashback who book their tickets through mVisa payment method.
Railways feel that new payment method will make the booking easy and helpful for many people who have smartphones .
