India signs ANGUA agreement

New Delhi, June 13: A good news for Indian food industry.
Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Harsimrat Kaur Badal yesterday signed an agreement. According to the agreement, India will participate in ANUGA which is an international exhibition for the food industry . The Exhibition will be held in Germany in the month of October 2017.

After signing an Agreement Minister said that "It gives us an opportunity to showcase our strengths to an international audience". She also said that "Food diplomacy will narrow differences between countries and will help in transforming the lives of farmers.

Minister said that food processing industries development leads to achieving the target of doubling farmers income by 2022.

Finally, she said that we need to improve our farming techniques and also how to control food wastage while transporting and storage. The main theme of ANUGA 2017 is the role of e-commerce in the food industry.

ANUGA (General Food and Non-essential Provisions Exhibition) is the globe's largest and an essential trade fair for food and beverage trade.
