Kesineni fired on RTA officials

Vijayawada, June 13: The Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani has fired on RTA officials here on Monday, while he was attended to Bhoomi Puja of Benz Circle Flyover Project.

He stressed that The Road Transport Authority (RTA) in Andhra Pradesh is corrupt to the extent that they are permitting the plying of buses registered in other states.

While Speaking to the media persons here on Monday, he said 900 buses plying in Andhra Pradesh were actually registered in Arunachal Pradesh. "Their registration was canceled by the Arunachal Pradesh government, yet they are plying here and the RTA officials are not taking any action," he said.



Nani said that "I have written a letter to this effect to the authorities in Arunachal Pradesh and to the Union home ministry. They have responded acknowledging the issue but the RTA officials here are turning a blind eye. The entire RTA department is corrupt," he added.

However, He expressed anguish at the apathy of the RTA which is resulting in loses to private bus operators.
