Pay fine for swimming in Trevi Fountain

Rome, June 13: Are you traveling to Rome, be careful you may have to pay a heavy price for your misbehavior. Locals and Tourists will be fined by Municipal authorities of Rome if they indulge in any unacceptable behavior. Authorities said that they have taken above steps in order to protect their key monuments such as the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum, etc.

Officials say that with the arrival of summer tourists and locals around the Trevi fountain are sitting with their feet in the water and even found swimming. They feel that such incidents will damage the beauty of the location which will lead to the loss in the tourism sector.

Mayor Virginia Raggi on Monday said that with the new penalty in place, anyone caught doing such misbehavior will be fined up to 240 Euros. He said that with fines will be imposed until 31 October.

Sources say that Police have been given the task of monitoring the tourist spots.Finally, let's hope that people behave decently to protect the monuments which are pride for any nation.
