Uttam Kumar alleges on Amit Shah

Hyderabad, June 12: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) N Uttam Kumar Reddy has been angered on BJP national president Amit Shah here on Sunday.

He demanded an unconditional apology for the remarks were not only an insult to Mahatma Gandhi but also the entire nation. Every Indian must condemn such derogatory remarks.

Addressing a public meeting at Suryapet district on Sunday, Reddy said that Shah's remarks clearly indicate the bad character of the BJP national president and also his lack of knowledge of the heroic contribution of Mahatma Gandhi in the Indian freedom struggle.

He also sought an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also Shah for the Mandasaur incident where six farmers were killed in police firing. He warned that the BJP government would be remembered for gunning down the farmers in Madhya Pradesh.

"It was due to the BJP's misrule that around 35 farmers are committing suicide every day across the country. Instead of providing remunerative prices for the agricultural produce, the BJP government is creating conditions that are driving the farmers to commit suicide," he observed.

Reddy also demanded that the Telangana government release input subsidy of Rs 4,000 per acre per season from this Kharif season itself to prevent farmers’ suicides.
