Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi to Quit

NewDelhi, June 12: Another top government official will retire soon. Attorney-General of India Mukul Rohatgi has decided to quit before he gets any further extension. Currently, his 3-year tenure will end on 19 June.

He has requested the Central government not to give him any reappointment or an extension.Rohatgi said that "I want to quit and would return to the private place to lead my life".he also slammed the decision to extend his retirement. Finally, he said that I have spoken to PM about my retirement and it's about the PM Modi to decide about my continuation as a top law officer.

Current Attorney General have defended many High profile cases for Government such as demonetization of Old notes. Triple talaq case ,etc . Let's hope that PM would appoint a suitable candidate for Indias top lawyers post.
