Chain snatchers got arrested

Hyderabad June 12: Hyderabad police officials have arrested two persons who are involvement in three chain snatching cases.

Coming to details, Police identified as Thakur Veeresh Singh alias Veeru (21) and Maddi Durga Prasad alias Durga alias Gorre (19), and they registered the cases against them

On June 6, the suspects left from their residence in Jeedimetla to commit chain snatching. After reaching to Street No.3 in West Marredpally, they snatched imitation jewellery from an elderly woman and sped away from the scene on their bike. The woman approached the police and lodged a complaint on the same day.

During the investigation, the police found suspects to be involved in two more similar cases and launched a search of them. Through community CCTV footages, the police identified the snatchers and vehicle registration number and traced out the Pulsar vehicle and today apprehended the snatching accused.

DCP said that "They were arrested on Sunday. From them, we have recovered gold and silver ornaments weighing 2.5 grams, one bike and two mobile phones."
