R Narayana Murthy argues with center for Padma Shri award

Hyderabad June 12: A Senior Actor-cum-Moviemaker R Narayana Murthy fired on the Central Government for partiality shown by between Bollywood and other industry, the ill-treatment meted out to Regional Cinema over the years.

At the condolence meeting of Dasari Narayana Rao, R Narayana Murthy said "Padma Shri award was presented for Bollywood heroine Vidya Balan but not for great Savitri and SVR who are Legends. It's time for Industry to remain united & mount pressure on Centre government to ensure Dasari is honored with Dada Saheb Phalke Award."



"Dasari was the first person in whom I have seen the humanitarian angle in the film Industry. He supported countless people in their bad times and even helped them stand on their feet. It's our responsibility to fulfill the goals of the Dasari."

Not just Savitri and SVR, Even other stars like NTR and Kaikala Satyanarayana haven't received Padma award. There is an impression among the public that those who have the influence can receive such prestigious awards.
