Chandrababu Naidu has the capabilities to become President: TG Venkatesh

Tirumala June 12: Telugu Desam Party MP TG Venkatesh called Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu as a worthy candidate for the President post.

Mr Venkatesh made these statements during his visit to Tirumala where he was with his family to offer prayers to Lord Venkateshwara.

In fact, Naidu has claimed several times that he has rejected the golden offer of becoming Prime Minister of India in 1997 itself since his focus was on developing the state.

N Chandrababu Naidu has had a long stint in the state politics for nearly 40 years. So, it is better he moves to the Centre, leaving the field to the younger generation.



Now, he cannot even dream of becoming the PM since Narendra Modi is growing stronger.

So, the only option left for Naidu is to apply for the President’s post. "He is a worthy candidate for the President's post," he said.

He suggested that Chandrababu Naidu becomes the President of India and hand over the state responsibility to his son Nara Lokesh.

He also added that "The chief minister has the capabilities to become President and even develop the state to a tremendous extent,"
