Queen remake got new problem

Hyderabad, June 11: Kangana Ranaut's classic movie, Queen has changed the thinking of many filmmakers and brought about a new style of filmmaking with women-centric roles to the forefront rather than the common kind of over the top narratives. But the movie's remake into South Indian languages as an idea is great but it is finding difficulty in execution from past year.

Thyagarajan, the famous producer, and actor wanted to produce the movie in four South languages, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. For Malayalam, he roped in Amala Paul, for Tamil and Telugu he tried out Samantha, Tapsee, Tamanna Bhatia but all those efforts have fallen through due to various reasons.

Now, he is in talks with Kajal Aggarwal for Tamil and Telugu versions. In Kannada, the movie has started with Parul Yadav shooting in the direction of Ramesh Aravind.

Latest is that a London-based production company, Golden Club films released a statement saying they are the rightful owners of the remake rights of the movie and when they heard that without their permission, the efforts to remake the movie are going on and shooting has also started, they are perplexed.

They did clarify that they added Thyagaragan as their partner but he doesn't have the rights to take decision independently without informing them. Well, where will this land the movie remakes, we have to wait and see!
