Bathinda, June 9: A young man accused of drug dealing in Bathinda in Punjab was attacked by a mob in his village. The villagers chopped his hands and sliced his legs here on Thursday.
He has died in Hospital a few hours later.
The Victim was identified as Vinod Kumar 25-years-old had been charged with selling drugs, the villagers forced him to relocate 6-7 months ago from the village.
Mr.Kumar returned to his village, a group of men attacked him.
A person who is standing beside filmed the deadly assault of Punjab man, with cell phones.
Inspector Jagdish Kumar said 'He had come out of jail only 3-4 days back.' The Victim was facing some cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
Mr. Kumar was moved to a local hospital which was surrounded by villagers angry about the assistance being provided to him. The police then moved him to a hospital in Faridkot, 45 km away, where he died of his injuries.
A murder case has been registered against unknown persons for assaulting him.
