USA president Trump threat to economy:Wipro

Bengaluru June 9: Another brave attempt has been made by Indian Industry. Indian IT giant Wipro has declared USA president as a threat to Indian IT industry.

Sources say that the company has said the above statement during its annual filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Wipro said in its filing that "recent developments arising out from the recent US presidential election will have an adverse effect on our business”.

The development assumes significance because Indian IT companies are facing an uncertain environment due to the curbs being proposed on worker visa norms by various countries such as US, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.

Recently USA president has ordered a review of H1-B visa policy and its effect is still unknown in Indian industry. Currently, the companies have said that they are laying off employees because of increase in operational costs.

Let's hope America understand our concern and revisit its policies.
