Rajya Sabha MP Palvai Govardhan Reddy passes away

Hyderabad June 09: Telangana Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Palvai Govardhan Reddy died of heart attack on Friday.

He went to Kulu Manali in Himachal Pradesh for a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee. When he was traveling in the car, all of sudden he got chest pain and fellow MPs rushed to a nearby hospital.

At that time he was accompanied by his wife, Medak MP Prabhakar Reddy. The doctors at the hospital confirmed that he had died.

Palvai Govardhan Reddy was born on November 19, 1936, in Mahapooobnagar district of Andhra Pradesh. He worked as an MLC member of the Andhra Pradesh five times MLA. He is currently representing the Rajya Sabha on behalf of the Congress.
