Hyderabad, June 08: Telugu actress Madhu Shalini has tried everything from rom-com to thrillers but she couldn't find success in Tollywood. She even unleashed the bombshell in her with a Ram Gopal Varma film but even that effort didn't help her career. Now, the sensual actress is trying her luck with a hard-hitting character.

An excited Madhu Shalini has revealed that she will be next seen playing a Maoist in National Award winning director Rajesh Touchriver's new film "Raktham".

Elaborating more about her character, she revealed that she plays the role of a young and naive village girl, who turns into a Naxalite from a gold medal-winning student. Her look will be quite natural in this film.

Four years after winning the National Film Award with "Naa Bangaru Talli" in 2013, Rajesh Touchriver is back with his next film, 'Raktham'. The film is inspired by Nobel Prize-winning French philosopher, Albert Camus's 1949 play, 'Les Justes'.
