High Court fired on AP Government

Hyderabad, June 7: The common division bench of the Hyderabad High Court has questioned AP government about hiking fees for intermediate juniors colleges here on Tuesday.

The bench was dealing with a PIL filed by Harsha Kumar a former MP from Amalapuram. He told that the fee fixed is 2,500 per annum but the students are being forced to pay more.

Meanwhile, The state counsel sought time to respond. The bench Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice T Rajani said that everyone knew that junior colleges are fleecing the students.

The bench questioned that,"What the official machinery doing to implement its own GOs aimed at curbing high fee menace is something which we wanted to know from the state".

However, The government lawyer said that the petitioner was an MP for a decade and he never took up this issue. The bench also asked the respondents to file replies within two weeks.
