Three held for assaulting minor girl

Chennai, June 6: The Tamil Nadu Police have arrested two bus drivers and a conductor for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl at Salem district here on Monday.

While coming to details, The accused identified three persons Perumal, Manivannan and Murugan are from Salem's Omallur.They have been taken into custody for trying to assault the girl on Monday, while she has been sent to a hospital for a check-up.

According to reports, the girl had boarded the bus bound to Omallur to reach her home. At the final destination, while other passengers got down, the accused somehow blocked her from getting off, took the bus to a lonely place and tried to assault her.

The girl escaped from them and told villagers of her misery. The villagers then caught the three and handed them over to police.
