ACB raids on AP Additional Director Suresh babu

Vijayawada, June 6: The ACB sleuths have conducted simultaneous raids on properties of AP additional director of industries, Bayyavarapu Suresh Babu here on Monday.
the ACB has unearthed nearly Rs 100 crore disproportionate assets and arrested AP Additional Director Suresh Babu based a complaint lodged by some industrialists that the corrupt official was demanding money for the clearance of the project proposals.
ACB conducted raids on the properties of the official in Hyderabad, Kurnool, Guntur, Vijayawada and other places, and found many movable and immovable properties.
They seized gold jewelry, weighing 1 kg, 3 kg of silver ornaments, Rs. 14 lakh cash and found Rs. 9 lakh bank balances, Rs. 5 lakh invested in shares and Rs. 6 lakh invested in fixed deposits.
The investigating officials conducted simultaneous raids in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Kurnool and other places and unearthed the assets.
The agency found Suresh amassed wealth by taking huge bribes. The total value of the assets is around Rs 100 crore. A Huge quantity of gold ornaments was also seized in the raids.
