S.P Singh alerted govt departments on monsoon

Hyderabad, June 06: Chief Secretary S.P.Singh has directed all Government departments to open control rooms and keep emergency response teams ready to face any disaster arising out of the Southwest monsoon like floods, and hailstorms.He said here on Monday.

At a meeting he chaired at the Secretariat here with officials of agriculture, animal husbandry, police, disaster response, Army, Air Force, met department and others, he took stock of the preparedness and coordination among various wings with regard to drinking water, food, fodder, essential commodities, equipment and so on.Diseases with rain, the concerned departments should be ready to take care of people to protect themselves.

The Responsibility to take special supervision responsibilities within its jurisdiction and initiate steps for setting up control rooms in accordance with the emergency situation.

He called for the holding of mock exercises and drill at places identified as vulnerable, a press release said.

Farmers should be prepared to meet farming activities. People need access to essential supplies, drugs, and safe drinking water.

Instructed to arrange rehabilitation measures in emergency situations. Government Special Secretaries Ajay Mishra, BR Meena, Secretary Naveen Mittal participated.
