AP CM fires on Congress party

Amaravati June 06: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has been angered on the opposition party here on Monday on the issue of Special Status to the state.

He said here on Monday that, The opposition party Congress should show the differences between Special Category Status (SCS) and special package before criticising the government.

Participating in the fourth day of Nava Nirmana Deeksha at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram, the Chief Minister condemned the allegations made by the Congress.

"Instead of saying sorry to the people of Andhra Pradesh for the unethical bifurcation, the Congress is trying to play with sentiments in the name of SCS," he said.

"Rahul Gandhi is saying that I am afraid of some people. He should know that I am not afraid of anyone and I am the senior-most politician in the country," he said.

He said his govt is aiming for the welfare of poor and it plans to provide permanent houses for all under affordable housing scheme.

He said the govt is giving free gas connections under Deepam scheme and will heading to announce stats as 100 per cent LPG state on June 8 during the closing ceremony of Nava Nirmana Deeksha.
