Bengaluru tops in green city list

Bengaluru, June 6: Do you know which is the greenest city in India? A survey was conducted by Amazon.in to find out the greener and cleaner cities in the country. They have conducted the survey regarding the increase in demand for solar and garden products.

The main highlights of the survey are

*Bengaluru stood as top green city and environmentally responsible city.

*Demand for solar lights, inverters, power banks and torches, have risen by 400 per cent in last year.

*Demand was mainly observed from cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune.

*Consumption of garden products such as seeds, plants, garden tools, pots, and planters increased by 300 per cent in last year.

*Customers have become more environment-conscious.

*More people have started using cheaper and cleaner energy in the homes.

*Customers are adopting new concepts such as hydroponics, organic gardening, home composting, air purifying plants and drip irrigation.
