The Government is planning to increase the retirement age of doctors in the state, keeping in mind the fact that the retirement age of doctors in the neighboring AP has been raised to 63 years in the last week and the retirement age of Central Government is 65 years.

The Medical Council of India (MCI) has already provided the opportunity to increase the retirement age of professors in medical colleges up to 70 years.

In the state, like the other government employees, the retirement age of physicians and medical professors is even 58 years old.

As we all know, in the state, the PG Medical seats this year has witnessed a huge rise. The number of professors needed to continue those seats. In the next two years, a large number of professors will retire in the state. Those positions can not be replaced immediately. Their appointment will be held on the promotions.

If there are not a sufficient number of professors, the new PG medical seats will be canceled. On the other hand, the government has decided to expand medical services in the state. KCR kit also distributed as part of it.

In this order, the number of delivery in government hospitals is expected to increase significantly. However, in the government hospitals, there are shortage medical services due to the shortage of doctors. Many posts are empty in many areas.
