Rahul Gandhi: Chandrababu & Jagan are scared Of Modi

Vijayawada, June 05: Rahul Gandhi, the Vice President of Congress party, central leaders of various parties including SP (Akhilesh Yadav) and JDU (Sharad Yadav), DMK and CPI (M), on Sunday, took severe potshots at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and NDA government for not being able to provide Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.

Blaming on the inefficiency of CM Chandrababu and opposition leader, Rahul said, 'Both Naidu and Jagan are scared of Mr.Modi and that's why they are unable to fight for special category status.

The PM's SCS promise made to Andhra, made in Tirupati meeting during the 2014 election campaign, was totally ignored by his government for last three years. If Jagan Reddy and Babu won't fight for special status, we all (parties) work together to achieve status for Andhra.'

JDU leader Sharad Yadav launched an attack on Modi for ignoring the people of this nation and shaking hands of leaders of Russia, France, and Spain.

Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav thanked for the love showered on him from Andhra people and he funnily said, 'it's time I should leave UP now' and wished a progressive growth for the state.

'The symbol of ruling party in AP is cycled but only Rahul and I can ride it well. I demand this state government fight for Special Status and get BJP to allocate funds from crores and crores of money collected through demonetization.'

Reminding that Congress recognized the Polavaram as a national project, Rahul Gandhi took a brief swipe at Modi over his fake promises, and his campaigns like Swachch Bharat, unemployment in the nation and various other aspects.

He went on to promise that Congress will provide Special category status to AP, as soon as we form a government in 2019. Rahul concluded his speech by thanking leaders from all parties who joined him on stage.
