Farmers give up 1500 acres for Bandar port

Machilipatnam, October 17. : The AP government is all geared up to obtain 33,000 acres of land for Bandar port construction. The farmers, though reluctant initially, are now coming forward to give up their lands for the same.

The government released notification two months ago and now opened up the office of Machilipatnam Area Development Authority (MADA). Within one hour of starting the office, farmers agreed to give 1,500 acres for the cause. They felt that their lives would be better with port construction and also the State will develop fast.

The Ministers were happy over the development and Minister Narayana assured of doing justice to the farmers who gave up their lands for Bandar port construction like the package given to all who donated their land for capital.

Kollu Ravindra alleged that YSRCP and Congress were trying to stall the port construction and requested the public not to believe their false propaganda.
