CPM MP Ritabrata Banerjee suspended for 3 months

New Delhi, June 3: The CPM Party has been suspended the MP Ritabrata Banerjee for three months here on Friday, who was accused of maintaining an 'expensive lifestyle'.

Some allegations against the young MP specify that his usage of expensive gadgets that do not comply with the party's ideology.

The CPM party of West Bengal committee has taken the decision which was undertaken on Wednesday and issued on Friday



Shortly after the news broke, Banerjee tweeted: "Thy colour is RED till d end (sic)."

Meanwhile, The 38-year-old has known to have nurtured certain tastes of a lavish lifestyle that are not in sync with the party's ideologies. In a picture uploaded by him in February, he was seen carrying a Mont Blanc pen and an Apple smart watch.

This issue caused a stir within the party, leading to strict action against Banerjee.

The MP Ritabrata Banerjee was elected a Rajya Sabha member from West Bengal in February 2014.
