Civil Supplies Department To Start Ration Portability

Hyderabad June 01: The process of obtaining essential foodstuffs from anywhere in the state is eventually going to work.

Telangana State Citizens Department has decided to implement the experimental program in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts.

After studying for two months, it is expected to be implemented across the state. The way to implement this policy is that the ration card in the state is connected to Aadhaar number.

Civil Service Commissioner CV Anand has been working on this topic for the last few days. This will be used by people who migrate from area to place for work.


There are about 89 lakh ration cards in the state. There are 17,600 relationshops stores that provide essentials to the cardholders. All ration stores are already in online. Their Aadhar number has been linked to the card. The fingerprints in Aadhaar are presently provided with essential necessities.

There have been complaints that Binamies have been charged by the provincial retailers in the state. Officials have found that about 180 to 200 binamies are in the hands of the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation. It was decided to remove them. Commissioner Sevi Anand, who felt that it would be difficult for those who avail of the foodstuffs, decided to take steps to take anywhere from Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts.
