Woman techie shot dead

Noida, May 31: In a drastic incident, A woman was shot dead in the parking lot of her apartment complex in Noida near Delhi early this morning.

Coming to details, Anjali, who worked for LAVA mobile company in Sector 63, was tailed by the attacker inside the basement of her building and shot. CCTV images showed Anjali, who belonged to Yamunanagar in Haryana, ducking for cover as a man fires at her.

The shooting has been caught on camera. Footage from CCTV near the elevators shows a woman running, with a man close on her heels. The time was 6.34 am. The man had a gun and apparently shot her multiple times at close range.



She was rushed to the Fortis Hospital nearby where doctors declared her brought dead.

Her parents, who live in Haryana, have alleged that she was killed by someone known to her. She had started working in June last year.

According to police, Anjali shared her flat with six other girls, who told them that she received a call from her boyfriend in the morning. After the call, Anjali went to the basement where she was shot.

Police said they have registered a case and probing it from every possible angle.
