Delhi High Court issued Notice to Arnab Goswami

New Delhi May 30th: Journalist Arnab Goswami received notices from The Delhi High Court in defamation case which was filed by Senior Congress leader MP Shashi Tharoor for allegedly making remarks against him while airing news.

Coming to details, MP Shashi Tharoor filed the defamation case against Arnab and his recently propelled Republic news channel, with a compensation pay of Rs 2 crore and claiming damages On 26th May.

In his plea, he said that the Journalist was making defamatory remarks against him while airing news relating to the death of Tharoor wife Sunanda Pushkar who was found dead in her hotel room in 2014 January.

Justice Manmohan said while issuing a notice to Goswami that 'Bring down the rhetoric. You can put out the facts, but You can put out your story. You can't call him names.' and he also the channel seeking their replies by the next hearing date on 16th August.
