MLC apologizes for comments on AU

Vishakapatnam, May 29th: MLC M.V.V.S. Murthy tendered an unconditional apology for his deteriorated comments against the Andhra University, on Sunday.

He apologized for his remarks and announced that he would openly apologize for the comments inflicted by millions of students, teaching and non-teaching staff and welfare of Visakhapatnam people.

During the Mahanadu poster release, he commented that AU was a 'Ghost campus' and Mahanadu would spruce it up and bring international fame drew flak from the Opposition YSR Congress, the academic fraternity and members of the Executive Council of the University.

Mr. Murthi, who is president of the GITAM University, said 'I studied in the university for 8 years. It was not my intention to slight the university, which is like my mother, and I sincerely regret having made the comments.'



On Friday, he came to Mahanadu campus, said that he did not say that word the media had been distorted it, on listing it they became angrier on him. On this, the leaders of the job unions met with CM Chandrababu on Sunday.

They showed commented videos to CM. He had to apologize, otherwise, there was no question of abolishing concerns. The party members said that the MLC Murthy was called and ordered him to apologize publicly.
