Poverty estimated by 18 principles

New Delhi, May 29: The guidelines for implementation of the 'Mission Antyodaya' proposed by the Central Government for the elimination of poverty is getting ready. Under this, 50,000-gram panchayats in the country are targeted to be eliminated from poverty-stricken.

The Central Rural Development Department has identified 18 Standards. They are divided into social, economic, and infrastructure. Based on these, the Panchayats will be identified wheater they are in poverty or not.

If the new regulations are finalized, then they will be discussed in Niti Aayoga (National Institution for Transforming India) and approved.

Some of the standards are given below...

* How many households are using organic fertilizers for crops?

* What is the Malnutritional value of children?

* Do children having vaccines regularly? Or not?

* How many girls have completed their 10th standard?

* How many households have more than Rs 20,000 in savings accounts?

* How many households have Aadhaar linked bank accounts?

* How many families are eligible for loan assistance from banks above Rs 20,000? (If the bank loans are overpriced, the panchayat is identified as developed.)
