Sachin: A Billion Dreams day 1 score

Mumbai, May 28: 'Sachin: A Billion Dreams', the documentary-style sports autobiography of Cricket God Sachin Tendulkar that hit screens this Friday took an admirable opening.

The film collected 8.4 crores across India. While the Hindi version accounted for 7 crores, the remaining amount was earned by the non-Hindi version of the film. Of course, the figure is not even half of what fellow cricketer MS Dhoni's biopic had collected, 19.20 crore but then Sachin's film was not a cinematic presentation but a docudrama. No documentary-style film so far put up a performance that can be even remotely compared to Sachin's.



The film has received a mixed response from critics. It definitely is not for the ones who don't have much idea about cricket or Sachin but the film is a must watch for those who lived, loved, grew up, clapped, sighed, cried watching Sachin on the cricket field.
