Balakrishna and Harikrishna missed day one

Visakhapatnam, May 28: TDP leaders Balakrishna and his elder brother Harikrishna abstained from attending the Telugu Desam party's annual conclave Mahanadu, conducted in Visakhapatnam, on the first day on Saturday.

Party leaders said Balakrishna is busy with some personal works. While the reason for skipping the important meeting by another leader Harikrishna was not known. Harikrishna has been staying away from participating in the party activities since two years.

He was unhappy for not giving him MLC post in the recently held biennial election to Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council.

Leaders said that Balakrishna may attend the meeting on the last day of the Mahanadu on Monday. Sources said that Chief Minister and TDP National President N Chandrababu Naidu already asked party leaders to ensure the presence of Harikrishna in the party meeting. Another senior leader from East Godavari district G Buchaiah Choudary also skipped the meeting.
